What should my child wear for their first class?
WHAT TO WEAR: Students must be in proper clothing. Leotards, t-shirts, shorts, anything without buttons or zippers. NO jeans, tights, or socks, please. Do not wear rings, bracelets, watches, necklaces, or long earrings. Anything that dangles could create a safety issue. Hair should be pulled neatly and securely away from the face so that it stays up for the entire class. Girls should not wear bows or other large hair ornaments that may cause discomfort during activity. PLEASE LEAVE JEWELRY ARTICLES AT HOME. This facility’s staff will not be responsible for ANY items that may be lost or stolen. Be sure your student’s personal items are marked with their name. -
Can I drop my child off for their class, or do I need to sit at the gym during classes?
ARRIVAL AND PICKUP: Be sure your student arrives 5 minutes before their scheduled class time. Students must be prompt for their classes! Warm-ups are extremely important, and it can be upsetting to the late child as well as disruptive to the class when children enter late. Once the students enter the facility, they should leave their belongings with their parents and wait for their classes to begin in the observation lobby. Parents are responsible for their children until the start of class. Please pick up your student on time. Please let us know if you know you will be late picking up your student. Instruct your student to wait inside the building, and you should escort them from the building to your car. During peak times, the parking lot is crowded. Please take into consideration that our students may include young children. Please drive slowly and carefully. Do not take a chance on your student running to and from your car. -
What if my child misses a class?
MAKE-UP CLASSES: If your child misses a class, they can attend a make-up class during a session at the same level once per month, subject to space availability. Please note, there are no refunds or credits for missed classes, and holidays and scheduled closings do not count as make-up days. -
How do I know when my child is ready to move up?
We will hold Evaluations every 8 weeks. Each event (Bars, Beam, Floor, Vault) requires specific skills your child must master before progressing to the next level. Once all skills have been achieved, you will be notified via email and given available times for the next level class.
